Our nursery was established over twenty seven years ago and has, over this time, built an exceptional reputation. Our team work very hard to ensure each child’s individual needs are met and their experiences are always happy and rewarding.
“Burley Nursery School is based on the ground and first floors of a large Victorian house in the centre of Burley In Wharfedale. We are registered with Ofsted to care for up to forty five children up to the age of five.
“We are open from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, we are open all year round, closing only on Bank Holidays and a further 5 days over the Christmas period.
“We also offer term-time places and an early start session from 7:45am.
“Choosing the right nursery for your child is your number one priority. We hope that the information on this website will give you an insight into the care and education we can offer, but we would really like to show you around our nursery so you can see for yourself.”

Rachel from Burley says: “My son’s been at Burley Nursery School since he was 7 months old and has never said he doesn’t want to go. The nursery is very well organised and the days are well structured keeping the children in a good routine which helps them have confidence. The staff are always very friendly and cheerful and staff turnover is low which demonstrates to me they enjoy their jobs. There is plenty of outside play and activities including growing vegetables and walks within the village e.g. to the library, duck pond. The nursery has recently undergone a lot of refurbishment so provides an attractive and stimulating play and learning environment with a lot of new toys, equipment and even a sensory room. An added extra is The Montessori education that is provided from about 2 1/2 years currently. This has been great for the development of my son’s dexterity and independence. Overall I would highly recommend Burley Nursery.”
