For more information about sessions run at the children’s centre, ring 01274 584368 or email office@hirstwoodschool.co.uk.

Hirst Wood Nursery School and Children’s Centre is one of 6 designated children’s centre plus’s across Bradford.  This means they are able to offer 12 part-time ‘resourced’ places for children identified as having additional needs.

Stay and play plus on alternate Fridays includes music time and sensory room sessions.  The sessions are specifically designed for children with additional needs and their siblings.

The baby massage and baby yoga run for 5 wks and you must book a place by ringing up. There is a waiting list at the moment and priority is given to families in the reach area but anyone can put their name down.  The classes are suitable for babies 6 wks until crawling.  You need to bring a towel for the baby. It is a great bonding exercise and is good for things like colic and sleep problems. Twins etc are welcome but you do need one adult per baby.  Sessions cost £1.

Toddler yoga is suitable for confident crawlers to 2 yrs.  Flexi-kids yoga is run by Mary Cuthbert and is suitable for 3-5yr olds.

Rachel from Saltaire says: “Tuneful Tots combines music and a story. It gives babies the chance to try out loads of different instruments.”

Mary from Saltaire says: “Good variety, very affordable.”

Always check that the group is running before setting off. Share your views on the class with other mums in our baby chat section.
