Baby & child first aid workshops – In and Around Ilkley Moor

“The most valuable course a new mum can do. If you do one course, make it this one”
(New Mum, Ilkley)

A recent survey by Mother and Baby Magazine found that a staggering 84% of parents lack the first aid skills that could save their child’s life.

All you need to do to book your workshop is:

1. Get a minimum of 8 friends and family members together.
2. State you preferred location, time and date, including weekends and evenings for your flexibility. Most NCT/toddler/baby groups are tending to hold the workshops in their homes or the place where they meet.
3. Book and confirm the workshop via email: pacotraining@live.co.uk or Tel: (01943) 430425 or 07835 169411

ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS…

These courses have been devised, as a brief overview of first aid, for new and expectant parents, parents already with toddlers or children, grandparents and anyone who is responsible for a baby or a child. It will enable you to gain the basic skills, confidence and knowledge to deal with emergency situations within the home and even when you are out and about. The workshops are informal, friendly and fun and are about building your confidence more than anything else.

How will the workshops help?
You will get hands on experience by using the manikins and you can ask questions about specific situations that you may be worried about. Hopefully, you will never have to use the procedures taught, although it will give you that peace of mind of knowing what to do, if any emergency does arise.

You will also receive a FREE comprehensive Paediatric First Aid book and the opportunity to purchase child and family first aid kits.

Who should attend?
New and expectant parents, parents already with children, grandparents and anyone who is responsible for a baby under 12 months old or toddlers and children from 1 year up to prepubescent age.

What will you learn?
The Save A Baby course covers how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving babies under 12 months old and the Save A Child course covers how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving toddlers and children from 1-year-old to prepubescent age.

Please note, it is preferred that the children are not present during the workshop, although if this is not possible, we can accommodate each group’s individual requirements.
