Hello everyone, I've been looking on the Moor Mums website for a couple of weeks but have only just got round to actually registering so thought I'd take the plunge whilst baby is sleeping! I'm living in Silsden at present and am mum to baby Freddie who is 9 weeks old, I'd love to meet up with other first time mums in the area and would welcome any recommendation for good groups / classes to join. Also I work in Ilkley and am starting to think about childcare for when I go back to work in January -does anyone have any recommendations for nurseries/childminders in Ilkley/Addingham? Welcome to MoorMums! Well done for taking the plunge and joining the forum.

I love the name Fred too!! ... what a happy coincidence...

Just thought you might be interested in coming along to one of our pushchair walks - next one is on Tuesday 7th July. Don't worry about not knowing anyone (although you are of course welcome to bring a friend), the MoorMums team is very friendly and there are lots of mums on hand to look out for newcomers. We've also got a brilliant Big Baby Picnic coming up on 21st July. I know you're not weaning yet, but it'll be a great opportunity to meet other new mums and watch some older babies make a total mess! Details are here (http://www.moormums.co.uk/whats-on/events/big-baby-picnic/).

As far as groups go, Rainbow Tots (http://www.moormums.co.uk/whats-on/mum-and-baby-groups/rainbow-tots-addingham/) in Addingham is a really good one on Monday mornings. There are quite a few babies and lots of toys and mats to play on. The mums are really friendly.
