Felix has started learning to crawl this week and the reflux has got really bad. I've had a tough couple of days with him being really agitated because I think he's in pain. He even did a non silent projectile vomit twice this afternoon. I feel so sorry for him and I can't believe we're going through all this again, although one of the GPs at our practice did warn me that her son's started again when he started crawling. Felix had silent reflux really bad in the first couple of months of his life. I had forgotten how bad it can get for him.

I wanted to know if any of you mums out there have a baby with reflux and if they found the same thing with your babies crawling and when it might get better. I hope he isn't going to suffer with this for much longer.

On a happier note though we're officially off purees. He's refusing to eat them now and he's tucking into allsorts. Veg chilli and rice, spaghetti, omlette, baked beans. We're not going down the baby lead weaning route because we're splitting between him feeding himself and me helping him and we've already done purees. I think with BLW you don't feed them and you don't do purees to start with so it's a bit late for us. I like him to eat what we're eating and he can't pick up rice etc yet.

If any of you are thinking of BLW after 6 months I'd say go for it now I've seen Felix ( 6 and a half months ) put half an oatcake in his mouth at once, chew it and swallow it with no problems at all.
