I really want to take my little boy to see Father Christmas. We stood in the cold today for 1 and a half hours in Bingley, not really well wrapped up because i had thought it was in Bingley Arts Centre not outside, until both my three year old and one year old were fed up, and still didn't get to see Father Christmas, we were miles off the front of the queue, when we decided to leave. We should have gone a bit earlier but I have found if we disturb my one year old's sleep in the day there is hell to pay later.
As recompense for feeling such a bad mother I desperately need to find somewhere to take them to see Father Christmas. Last year we went on the train at Haworth, which was lovely but would cost us over £50 as a family this year which we cannot afford. So it has to be somewhere cheap (ish) without a 2 -2 1/2 hour queue in the cold.
Please help!

Hi, we also saw the queue in Bingley and gave it up as a bad job! We are going to try Bolton Abbey. They have an xmas fair every weekend in Dec including visits from Santa. You can book a ticket to see Santa I think it's £3.50, but there's more details on the website. we haven't booked yet, so i don't know if there's any space left, we're gonna call for tickets tomorrow.
Good luck finding the man in red!

Santa is such a busy man! He's out and about in quite a few places in the run up to his big night.

We're listing them in the events calendar (http://www.moormums.co.uk/whats-on/events/) as and when we find out about them. So please do have a look and let us know (http://www.moormums.co.uk/forum/sendmessage.php) if you know of any other Santa visits.

Santa is up at Harlow Carr garden (near Harrogate) weekends before Christmas in his workshop.

Only thing might be a bit expensive if you're not a member of the RHS, but if you do join you can visit the garden as many times as you want throughout the year & they have various family activities going on (children under 6 go free).

Bolton Abbey and Brimham rocks, upstairs at the visitors centre, both you have to book for. Don't know No for B/A, but B'hma rcks call 01423 780688-booking for both is ESSENTIAL! @ B'ham he's there on the 13 & 20th. We went last yr, and was so pleased, I was going to take Niamh to Stephen Smiths, but it looks soooo tacky (sorry for all you out there who take your children there-don't mean any offence!)
