Get your claims in for child tax credits early!! They can only be back dated 3 months (so you need to do it before your baby is 3 months old!!). Most people can get some money so it is worth filling out the forms. For more info go to the HMRC website (https://www.taxcredits.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/Qualify/WhatAreTaxCredits.aspx).
