Hi all,

I am expecting my second child and adamant i am having another boy.. We have always had a girls name from the moment we found out but boys names are so hard.. It tooks us so long to name our first son, im worried we just wont find a name we agree on this time.

Any name suggestions??? Unusual or original??

What about some of the names that were popular when we were kids that aren't so popular now? My little boy is matthew (I don't know many babies called that around) but names popular in our day such as christopher, kyle, michael, peter, david and scott aren't really used much at the moment?

Thanks, i like matthew but my partners name is matthew and hes not keen on the idea of calling our son after him.. Ive thought of those names and i like quite a lot like that but we just cant agree :-(

what's your first son called? I'm expecting no.3 and have 2 boys already - i'm also CONVINCED it's a boy again but we've kind of used all our 'boy' choices!

we've got Benjamin Michael and Joseph Samuel.. have you got any you agree on at all? or one's that are 'possibles'? it's so hard isn't it? especially when people have such opinions on names!

I love people suggesting names I just don't like opinions back on them sometimes ;-) x

what girls name(s) have you decided? I know what you mean.. it's stressing me out a bit too! Our issue this time is influence from others around us... we have a few names we really like and one which has a really significant meaning but we can't have them because of others!! (first choice is the preferred choice of one of our best friends.. and 2nd choice is the name of a friends child & when I mentioned it as a poss choice she wasn't too impressed!)xx

I kno what you mean, i have 6 nephews and love some of their names but shortened versions, eg- Ollie but we have an Oliver, but i just know it will get people cross if i choose it..
We have chosen Hannah Niamh for a girl, which i love & was hoping i wouldnt have to think of a boys name because its so hard (even tho i really want 2 boys lol) but since i heard babys heartbeat yesterday i just know we hav to start thinkin :-)

when are you due?? It'll be really interesting to see if we're both right with our instincts! I LOVE having 2 boys and I'm honestly not fussed whether this one is boy or girl. I really like that name choice for a girl. Just been chatting to my hubbie about it and he's right you know.. he says you should really go with what YOU guys like and throw ALL names into the hat to decide. ;-) xx

When I was pregnant with my twins I was convinced it was boys from the start and we settled on two combinations pretty much straight away. We never got to use any of them thought as it was two girls!!!!! so I'd be delighted to tell you my suggestions.........STANLEY and SIDNEY or.......BARNEY and BAXTER
Good luck
