Hi ladies, I just found out that I'm 5 weeks pregnant and while I'm beyond happy, I'm also a little sad because my nearest relative is 4000 miles away! I live in Guiseley and have zero experience of having a baby on the NHS. I've been reading loads but at the same time realising I shouldn't worry too much until I've reached the 12-week stage (I was pregnant 9 years ago and had a miscarriage at 6 weeks so am bracing myself - I'm 39 next month so, you know, things happen).

So assuming all goes well I will be asking some questions which I hope don't come across as really simple.

So, watch this space and I look forward to experiencing this with you all!

Hello

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I recently moved to menston last July @ 5 months pregnant and have found the Nhs service good in a whole. Hope everything goes well for your pregnancy :)

Hi Erika,

Congrats on your sticky bean.

I've recently moved to Eldwick from Manchester, i'm 31wks pregnant. So far i've found the NHS care satisfactory, nothing to complain about, although already getting a feeling that the care provided here in Eldwick is much better than that in Manchester.

If you want to chat or have any questions feel free to ask away.

Hi Erika,
Just seen your post and I hope things are progressing OK - good luck.
Not sure if you are aware of Guiseley Children's Centre - we are behind the Infant School off Oxford rd. Look at our website -www.guiseley childrenscentre.co.uk for details about us and our services. It would be great to meet you - we have a Bumps and Babies group on Tuesday pm - 1.30, just drop in. If you have any queries or worries just call us 01943 874100 or drop in - we are open 8.30 - 4.30 Monday to Friday and have a good range of information and resources.
Cheers Matt. (Manager)

Hi,
I am currently living in Baildon while we renovate our house in Guiseley. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and keen to meet some Guiseley mums who are due about the same time or have tiny ones. I also have a 3 year old little girl.
We'll still be in Baildon when no 2 arrives, so my post natal care will be Baildon/Bingley health visiting team. I'm sure I can find out about Guiseley groups, but can anyone recommend any? The Bumps and babes at the children's centre sounds good, but I have my little girl on Tuesdays too.
thanks in advance
Louise
