I've heard that when babies first get teeth, aside from biting (an issue in itself), their teeth can scrape against you and it feels like little tiny pins being scraped over your skin over and over. Pretty uncomfortable.
A local mum has recommended a breastfeeding website to us today - KellyMom.com (http://www.kellymom.com/). It has advice (http://www.kellymom.com/bf/older-baby/biting.html#scraping) about what to do about this and lots of stuff about breastfeeding in general. Thought it might be of use if anyone is having that problem.
I'm going to add it to our feature about where to get help with breastfeeding (http://www.moormums.co.uk/baby-tips/breastfeeding-where-to-get-help-and-support/) which includes local and national helplines and support groups.
