About: COOK – Ilkley was opened on 6th October 2011 by Jonathan and Helen. The shop is located in the heart of Ilkley, in The Moors Shopping Centre, adjacent Spec Savers, fronting the main car park. It is family friendly, with easy access for prams and pushchairs.
COOK sell frozen meals and sauces. All their meals are handmade and then blast frozen so there are no additives or preservatives used.
Jonathan from COOK says: “We know from experience that the twilight zone ahead of meal times can bring out the hungry little monster in even the most angelic offspring. To give you a helping hand, we’ve created our new COOK for Kids range using exactly the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. There is plenty of veg (cunningly disguised for fussy ones), and no added salt (although other ingredients may contain some), so you can rustle up something quick and nutritious that tastes freshly made.
“So Baby’ is a small, family business run by husband and wife team Chris and Sarah Larkin. Inspired by the arrival of their daughter Charlotte in 2005 they spent ages testing recipes with mums and baby groups and they now have this fantastic range of meals full of nutrients and, just as importantly, flavour. All pots are 180g and suitable for babies of 6 months+. Our meals have lots of natural texture for your baby to enjoy. If there is a little too much texture for the stage your baby is at, just mash down with a fork for the perfect consistency. If you think your baby may not eat a full 180g meal simply defrost, scoop out as much as your little one needs, and replace the lid. The meal will stay fresh in the fridge for 24 hours.”
