There is a large base pocket for spare nappies, food, keys, ect. This is useful, as once you have the back pack on, you don’t want to carry something else as well.
There are also top and side grab handles so that you can lift the back pack on yourself. Although, you need to be quite strong (depending on how heavy your baby is).
