MoorMum Catherine from Menston says:
It was my husband who lead our research into front carriers for our son and we bought a Bush Baby Cocoon. We wanted a carrier where our son could face inwards or outwards and one which had been used by others out and about in the hills as we are both keen walkers.
One advantage is that it is a two part carrier so you can get the baby into his bit on the floor and then clip him to you when you have the adult part on. This also meant that when he was little and had fallen asleep facing inwards we could unclip him and let him finish his sleep.

Now that he is older he loves facing outwards so he can see what is going on!

Another advantage is that the adult part is easily adjustable which is good for us as there is a big height difference between us.
The disadvantage of the carrier is that despite the fact that it says it can be used until your baby is 1 year or up to 9kg (about 20 lb), our son is now nearly 6 months and weighs 16 and a half pounds and I find him too heavy to carry comfortably in the carrier for more than about 30 minutes as it pulls on my neck and shoulders. My husband is still happy to carry him for longer.
