Bingley
Bingley is a market town in the Aire Valley. Like most towns in the area, Bingley prospered from the Industrial Revolution. The Bingley section of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal was completed in 1774, linking Bingley with Skipton, and with Bradford. It travels through the centre of Bingley & then climbs dramatically up the side of the valley in the famous Bingley Five Rise Locks and not quite so famous Bingley Three Rise Locks.
The Bradford & Bingley Bank has offices in the centre of Bingley.
Transport
It is probably easiest to drive to Bingley (over the Moor and turn left at Dick Hudson’s pub), although there is a regular train services from Shipley. You can park outside the court house for short periods or in the train station car park. There is also on-street parking but you will have to take your wheels as it is in short supply in the town centre.
