MoorMum Barbara from Menston says:

We visited Yorkshire Sculpture Park and, had a really lovely time.

It takes about 50-60 mins to get there by car and, is the turning on the M1 just after the Wooley Edge Services (there are brown tourist signs to get you there).

It costs £4 to park all day (pay & display) and, there was plenty of parking places. The place was really family friendly – plenty of pram walks, baby changing, high chairs etc.

There was tonnes of room for my 18 mth old daughter to run around and, there were no objections if children were climbing on or winding their way through the outdoor statues etc. One of the fields was filled with sheep and Canada geese as well as Henry Moore figures. The exhibits were fantastic – especially the indoor exhibition by David Nash.

The food was lovely and there was a good choice. Most of the hot lunches, such as venison burger, fishcakes etc were about £8. They had a childrens menu too which was £4 for 5 different components (ie, fruit, pasta, yoghurt etc).

Always check that the venue is open before setting off.
